So, today was the "latest" drop of tickets supposed to start at 11am est. So, I got in the queue as I'm sure many other people did immediately at 10am. I finally just got through at 1:55pm only to find out that FIFA screwed up the links on their website and everyone that was in that queue had to be a supporter with a code of one of the late qualifying teams. Now when you go on the FIFA ticketing website there are two links: one for "Last-Minute Sales." What a fricking joke they are as an organization.

Yes I jumped on at 12:25 just to see what’s left and the queue hasn’t moved.

Scalpers have to be licking their chops which I suspect is what’s bogging down the system (which is a foreign concept in every country outside the US). Agree this is comically bad at this point.

Until we do something about the ticket monopolies going on and scalping becoming an occupation can’t see us hosting a World Cup again.

I have 2 kids who both play competitive soccer and my entire family of 5 loves the game. I’m not even bothering. I’m going to see if a few of these less premier matches in Miami or Atlanta become less retarded near kickoff and we will go to one. If not frick it.

I got in 30 min ago. Was in queue for 4 hours.

Tomorrow is resale day - so might find something there.

Can you not just go to the marketplace?

NVM. I tried to go to marketplace. It reopens tomorrow at 11am ET.

Was there anything left? How much were tickets going for?

My friend got Qatar vs Switzerland for $140 at Levi’s in Category 3.

Said he was in the queue for about 4 hours though.

He said there were no Category 3 seats left for Turkey-Paraguay for Category 3 or the second round games though.

I am still in the queue.

Was in the queue for 6 hours for tickets to the Houston game on June 20th. They literally had 1 seat available.

1 seat.

Mid lower bowl behind the goal for $600.

Glad we decided to say frick it to this WC as far as trying to go. Didn’t want to go to Atlanta anyway.

I’m in

Plenty (like several hundred) of Category 2 seats for Cabo Verde and Saudi Arabia for $380 in Houston

1 Category 1 seats for $600 for Sweden and the Netherlands

Plenty of Jordan-Algeria tickets for $380 at SF Levi’s

A few $140 and plenty $380 tickets for Austria-Jordan at the same location.

No games even available in Dallas or Philly.

Some bad seats available for Canada versus Bosnia in Toronto for $1600 or $2240.

Some solid seats for USA versus Paraguay for $2735 or terrible ones for $1940 in Los Angeles.

4 terrible seats for Morocco-Haiti at $400 in Atlanta

Then I got kicked out of the queue.

I finally got in. Pretty much everything gone. Hopefully prices come down as we get closer and I can get some Ticketmaster or stubhub tickets. I’ll be in Houston for Cabo verde but wanted to get at least one more game

Yeah. This is basically mirroring the secondary market prices. Like who the hell is going to these games for those prices?

The only benefits are that you know your exact seat and that the prices are even higher on the secondary market.

However, most of the games already have no availability or truly limited availability already, so we will have to use the secondary market, regardless.

I give up.

Got in resale/market place. Prices aren’t better.

Even if you are saavy - second round match up. 1C vs 2F. Likely Brazil vs someone. $5k lower bowl LOL.

I took out a damn loan to go to the WC in Brazil in 2014
...and now I have no desire to go to any games here in the US
FIFA, their ticketing, pricing, and corruption have taken the fun from it
Never thought I'd say that if you asked me a few years ago

I’m very curious how much the non-US, Canada, Mexico first round games will see their prices fall in the secondary market.

I was looking into Turkey-Paraguay and the tickets were still $600-700 for the cheapest semi-desirable seats on StubHub.

I wouldn’t even look at secondary market until the actual tickets come out with individual seats.

Oh I wouldn’t buy right now. Just looking at the price to have an idea of what could be had.

I was expecting decent availability at $350-400.

This makes me think it won’t be possible, as I don’t see prices falling in half.
