Kira Ekukpe is a native of Dallas, Texas and is majoring in Business Administration at LSU.

This was her second year of competing in pageants and she says that the experience has taught her so much about stepping out of her comfort zone, according to the Miss LSU pageant.

The pageant was held on the evening of March 29th. After evaluating contestants during the swimsuit, gown, and interview rounds, judges had a hard time coming to a conclusion on a winner. A 15-minute intermission was added to the program to allow judges more time to narrow down their decisions.

The event was one of the many Delta Zeta sorority events hosted as a part of their hearing philanthropy. This past year, Delta Zeta raised over 80 thousand dollars to donate nationally and locally through the Miss LSU pageant.

Ekukpe will serve as a representative of her university and will continue her reign as Miss LSU through March 2027.
