Most iconic moments in NCAAT history?

To me, there has to be meaning to the moment, so a lot of 1st and 2nd round buzzer beaters don't make my list:
1. Laettner shot against Kentucky
2. MJ shot for the championship (mostly because it put MJ on the map)
3. Kris Jenkins (buzzer beater to win a title for NOva)
4. Mullins shot yesterday (2 blue bloods for a trip to the F4 and a 19 pt comeback)
What are some others? I know Bryce Drew against Ole Miss, Fairleigh Dickinson knocking off a #1 seed, George Mason beating UConn...

First two moments to come to mind were Gordon Hayward's miss against Duke and Mario Chalmers's shot against Memphis.
Jim Valvano running around the court looking for someone to hug might be at the top of the list though.

Hayward shot rimming out, how I wish that ball went in.

If KY had beaten UCONN in the ‘14 title game, Aaron Harrison would be another March legend. Hit game winning 3’s against Michigan in the E8 and Wisconsin in the F4.

Chris Webber’s timeout is certainly iconic.

Oh yeah, that's way up there

Chris Weber’s technical foul for a calling a TO.

I would agree, but it is slowly starting to fade from lore since that is not a moment they always show in the montage/highlight clips if you will. They always show Valvano running around, Laettner hitting the shot, Jenkins, etc

Keith Smart's shot vs Syracuse

Kris Jenkins buzzer beater to win the title is hard to beat

Tyus Edney is a good pick here too

"TJ Sorrentine, from the parking lot!"

It feels like this gets forgotten or overlooked... That UCLA was 4 seconds away from losing in the 2nd Round - instead, because of Edney's heroics they go on to win their 11th National Championship.

Agreed, and it think what highlights my original point is that this was a 2nd round game against a team that is not a blue blood. Great moment.

It may not be iconic, but Scotty Thurmon’s rainbow three in the final minute against Duke in the ‘94 final deserves a mention.

I was in attendance for the NOLA Big Three.
Jordan
Smart
Webber
In the Georgetown/UNC Final what I remember was at the start of the game Patrick Ewing was just swatting everything. Three goaltending calls very early. The Fred Brown pass was huge as well.
