So How Bad Did Iran Hit Us? Some Media Says They Hit Us Pretty Hard

This article says our tactical ops center was destroyed, 9 tanker aircraft destroyed or damaged to point of being inoperable, a E-3 Sentry AWACS destroyed, 15-25 casualties including at least 5 in critical condition. It cites WSJ and Al Jazeera as additional sources.

Someone that I trust said they hit 12 of our 13 bases and perhaps also the USS Ford.
Now think how easy it would be for them to hit our lads in the Strait or on Kharg Island or at their uranium sites from much closer distance.

Yeah uh, the USAF will look at that as a minor inconvenience. We're built to take casualties. That's barely scuffing the paint on the fleet.

Iran is about to cause Saudi Arabia to officially declare war on them.

NYT said this the other day.
quote:
Iran has bombed U.S. bases across the Middle East in retaliation for the U.S.-Israeli war, forcing many American troops to relocate to hotels and office spaces throughout the region, according to military personnel and American officials.
So now much of the land-based military is, in essence, fighting the war while working remotely, with the exception of fighter pilots and crews operating and maintaining warplanes and conducting strikes.

Only have 15 of them, but the role is more and more handed to other platforms.

We have a lot of them, but its not good.

We have many, but each one is precious.
Wars are not safe, even for the winner.
Its not a Pearl Harbor, hopefully we get better at defending.

We have 15 of those awac planes and 15 more that were just mothballed. And a new version on the way.

perhaps also the USS Ford.

The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) is currently in Split, Croatia, for scheduled maintenance and repairs following a non-combat fire in its laundry room on March 12, 2026. This incident injured three sailors and damaged approximately 100 sleeping berths, displacing roughly 600 crew members.

It’s war. These things happen in a war. Just like innocents getting killed. War sucks but we are unquestionably the best at conducting it.
Do we still have posters here in denial about this being a war?

Many people are saying the one-month "laundry room fire" repair is a cover story.

My buddy is a QMC in the Ford Battlegroup, He just returned my email and he said it was a chemical fire and the powdered CO2 system failed. He said the ship is fully functional, but they have to replace mattresses and linens.
Just letting you know

Thanks for passing good info

There are over 4,500 people aboard Ford. There is no way a cover story would work. Seriously, you have to know that or are you just trolling with all of this?

Supposedly the US Navy is conducting an investigation for saboteurs, meaning the fire was intentionally caused.
Can't remember where I read that but it was in multiple media sources that I read a couple weeks ago.

Doubtful they were Iranians
Most likely a homesick sailor trying to end the deployment
Crazy shite happens underway, sometimes
