It was speculation before but had to be disclosed because of the Deep State lawsuit.
As an aside, the critics blame Trump for not getting more done but almost everything he does leads to another frivolous lawsuit from DOGE cuts to immigration enforcement. None of his critics want to acknowledge this reality because it doesn’t fit their DU talking points.
