Did Israel trick Trump?

I think Israel probably told Trump if you kill the ayatollah they’ll all rise up against the regime and the people will do the rest. Basically telling him that initial strike to kill the leaders was all that would be needed and the rest would crumble, knowing full well this was the actual likely outcome but wanted to draw America into it first. I trust our president but I’m afraid he was taken advantage of by bad faith actors who would take advantage of our military and kindness

What a ridiculous take. Our refusal to do something about Iran repeatedly attacking American troops and American interests for 50 years is a dark stain on American history. I want a government that beats terrorists down for attacking us. Anything else is cowardly.
