If “blessed are the peacemakers” is the standard, then escalating another war isn’t strength—it’s a failure to meet it. You don’t honor hostages coming home by creating more families who never will. Claiming moral clarity while funding more destruction rings hollow against the very words being praised. At some point, you either believe in peace—or you just quote it.

Kushner and Bibi disagree.

Shocking for a man so enslaved to Israel...

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
for they will be satisfied.

I fear that you, like so many others, do not understand that peace isn't simply "the absence of war." War erupts when peace is already absent, and it is the conclusion of war that brings peace. It's like dealing with unruly children - disobedience exists before the spankings occur, and it is through the spankings that order is restored.

" the only way to heaven is through Jesus" (quote OP).
I agree. The Ego becomes more powerful as it becomes more knowledgeable. And "power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely".
"He that seeks to save their SELF, shall lose it".
Indeed, Jesus Christ - as One Third of the Triune Godhead - and Firstborn of Man, is indeed the Divinely designated "Savior" of Humanity. At least as many who ditch the Self and embrace Salvation via Jesus and the "no many cometh up any other way" Principle. Of course, "many are called and few are chosen"; I.e. (IMO) most people are not even close to STAYING in Heaven, although they will upon death be able to see it. And measure their true Self and get back to doing the work required to perfect said Self. The RCC labels this "Purgatory" and many religions like Buddhism call it 'Reincarnation' wherein they reap their Karma and move forward to refining their character. Franklin would disagree, but I'm sure he bows to the "few are chosen" Scripture. And Squirrelmeister would disagree that Jesus is a third of the Triune Godhead.
Your's Truly looks forward to getting a glance of God/Heaven, and then getting back to work so that I will have something of my own to give to my Creator as a form of 'worship'. I know I'm not ready, but if I ever want to stay, I'll simply ask Jesus to wiggle his nose and perfect my character, and in I go, on Faith. I may take this option upon getting the arse kicking that is coming here, and then my clearly realized vision of Heaven when I become "absent the body and present with the Lord". To be determined.
I guess Squirrel will jump in this one.

That logic only works if you ignore that peace often prevents war in the first place. War doesn’t reliably create order—it just as often creates chaos that lasts longer than the conflict itself. Comparing nations to children isn’t insight, it’s oversimplification. Treating war like a tool for peace is exactly how you guarantee more of it.
When has war in the Middle East ever led to more peace? It’s been at least 60 years since you can point to a concrete example

Trump posting this right after Leo calls out leaders of wars.
Is this a response to the Pope saying that war mongering is bad? Which is weird because Franklin rightly quotes Matthew 5:9 in his letter, so he’s kind of making the same point as Pope Leo. There’s a lot of stuff in the Beatitudes that doesn’t gel with what’s going on in this admin now though.

You can't be a Christian and believe otherwise
Christ said "I am THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Light"
Unitarians and post-modernists would rather you read that as "I am A Way, A Truth, and A Light"
And Trump posting a nice letter a prominent supporter sent him isn't establishing a state religion

How brave and bold of him.
When did he say this? How many times has he said it? Is there a particular reason he’s decided to present this nugget of wisdom now (assuming he’s said it recently). Is all war mongering bad no matter where it occurs. Or just some war mongering?
Is there a reason I should care that he said it more than someone else said it?

It's a funny thing. That's the very foundation of the Christian religion, but only Christians are rebuked for simply stating what their religion is all about.
Some Muslim can talk about Allah or Muhammed all day long, though.

If you are going to use scripture, at least apply it correctly. Blessed are the Peacemakers is addressing personal Christians and living out their role in that regard. Romans 13 says the government has been given the authority of the sword to punish evil-doers. I am perfectly okay with debating whether the government is wielding the sword well in this engagement. But at least make an argument from the Biblical framework we have been given, and not a verse you are ripping out of context.
