Along the lines of Fire in the Sky, Communion and the Fourth Kind. Am open to documentaries too.
Something about Alien abductions / Gray aliens have always sent a shiver down my spine.

There aren't a lot of good ones. Fire in the Sky is the best.
The Found Footage movie Alien Abduction is OK and has what I consider the 2nd best scene in one of these movies ever (behind the obvious one in FITS)
The one with Keri Russell was....OK

This is about the reality. Not a lot of legit alien abduction horror out there that is worth a damn.

No One Will Save You is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s on Hulu. Been a few years but remember it being scary and tense and kinda weird

I saw that one on UPN back in the 90s. Scared me shitless.

There’s something inherently frighting and violating at the thought of waking up to a gray in your room standing at the end of your bed

You saw Age of Disclosure right?

Altered (2006) is a bit of an inversion of abduction movies - some friends/rednecks basically abduct an alien for revenge. It's probably more of a B movie but it was a fun watch.
Ejecta (2014) is a bit of a hodgepodge film - partly found footage, some POV action, and then partly interview (maybe they ran out of money for the others?). It's a bit different and lesser-known but maybe it'll interest you. Sadly, it feels a little half-baked compared to some other films.

The examination scene in Fire in The Sky is probably the scariest alien encounter ever depicted. shite fricked me up as a kid

Yup. Me too. Right up there with Chucky running down the hall, but I was a lot younger then. My parents rented it apparently not knowing it was a horror movie somehow. I couldn't sleep for a week after watching Child's Play.
