The chances that anyone on this board has inside knowledge is 0.
But I like the plan of taking Hormuz island and launching control of the straight from there. Then arm the Iranians in the south and support their march northward.
Push the IRGC out of the south and away from the waterways. Eventually hope that the Artesh or militia can make their way to Tehran with our missile/air support.
