Jimmy Kimmel to write script for new Godfather sequel…

With the movie industry struggling, Paramount opted to return to what they consider a "sure thing" in the form of The Godfather Part IV as re-envisioned by the former host of Win Ben Stein's Money.
"Kimmel once told me he liked The Godfather, so I think he's the perfect man to write a new chapter in the Corleone family saga," said Coppola. "Also, I really didn't want to do it."
The studio reportedly wanted to follow in the footsteps of Warner Brothers and New Line Cinema, which tapped another late-night host, Stephen Colbert, to write a new Lord of the Rings film. Executives think Kimmel is just what one of American cinema's most revered properties needs.
