I would say Indian Hindu migrants are fine. However, the problem as always been Muslim migrants.

One of my grandfathers crossed the Rhine in WWII, helped liberate Buchenwald, and ended up in Berlin a day after Hitler was [allegedly] killed.
In spite of the circumstances, he said Germany was the most beautiful place he'd ever seen, with streams overflowing with big trout.

You know everyday Christian Democrats Germans define AfD as ultra right or extreme right. You just can’t be right wing there without being called names. They are also scared of movements in Germany.

I'd have to look through his memoir again to confirm. It was definitely soon after, though.
Where his US company was camped outside of Berlin, they were within a couple miles of a Russian encampment, as the Russians had been encroaching from the east. I do remember that much.

My grandpa was on a destroyer escort screening convoys in the Med and took fire from Stukka’s and a uboat. He never wanted to talk about any of it but he told me once that he really wished he’d fought the Japanese instead because the Germans were so much like us

I have met the woman, she is nice. Germany is a coalition government though so unless they get over 50% or the Union decides to work with (highly unlikely) there is very little that they can do.
