Playing the “Cinderella” #11 seed Texas who has a much bigger pay roll than them. If they are included in the field then anyone knows they are not an 11 seed. This has happened every year since the playin game

Agree, the play in games are gimmicky and the seedings for them don’t make sense. The gimmick is effecting the actual tourney

Gonzaga was a bogus 3 seed so it all evened out. A 4 seed would have been generous. A 5 or 6 would have been appropriate.

This. The entire thing is the silliest/flukiest way to crown a champion there’s no point in getting upset or judging a coach/team on any of it.
a single game in a sport where refs can dictate the style/physicality/pace of any given game…one player can get hot or cold any single game…you get a week to prepare for one team, then 24 hours for another team, then a week for the next team, then 24 hours for the next
it’s just a fun chaotic exciting tournament for casuals, as fans of a team you just have to shrug it off and roll with the excitement/frustration

We were heading that way in CFB with expansion before NIL established some boundaries.
CBB season means basically nothing except for fringe teams from major Conferences.
CFB is doing its best to make the expanding Playoffs a new "January Madness"... ugh. College sports are simply run now for and by the Networks for $ and eyeballs. AP should go back to naming their National Champion in football and basketball before these made for tv playoff tournaments... The actual season might mean something again.

Sure, but the NCAA needs to stop seeding them so high as we watch them choke year after year. I'd love to see them win, but am sick of them being highly seeded and lose.

Do you mean the last two years? Because before that they have had..2 FF/Runner Up, 3 E8, 4 S16. shite happens, they’ve been excellent and don’t see an issue with their seeding
