Iran had missiles capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to every major European city.

Good thing NATO is sitting on its hands and not helping us end this regime

US is saving Europe yet again

quote:

Iran just proved its missiles can reach far beyond the Middle East

Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK military base sitting 4,000 kilometers away in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

Neither hit the base, but the message landed harder than any warhead could.

Tehran has always publicly claimed its missile range tops out at 2,000 km.

This strike attempt doubles that number overnight.

The Khorramshahr-4 that likely carried out the attack can also deliver cluster warheads, the same munitions that have been devastating Israeli cities for three weeks.

Look at the map.

A 4,000 km range from Tehran draws a circle that reaches Paris, London, and most of Europe.

Every NATO capital that thought this war was a distant Middle Eastern problem just realized Iranian missiles could theoretically reach their doorstep.

If Trump didn’t do this the same people would be complaining about his incompetence because he allowed Iran to get a nuke.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Again, why does that mean we have to go to war. Neocons and butt lickers just want daddy to be protected. So why your logic that means we should go into North Korea too. This was an unnecessary war that didn’t need to happen. It’s having economic consequences that the moron in Chief didn’t even realize would happen.

I voted for America first economic policies. Not this bunch of crap.

That F 35 video brings up a lot of questions for me as a barely-know-nothing.

He seeking missiles have been around for a long time.

We’ve known about this even while we developed stealth technology, knowing that there are still heat seeking missiles out there.

So the plane knows how to defeat heat seeking missiles with counter measures.

So I am assuming that they send up a heat seeking missile first and lock onto where the plane is.

They would subsequently send up a radar locking missile after the stealth technology has been ruined by the heatseeking missile.

I hope they continue to claim this is over WMDs because the context of Trump and BiBi’s handling of JCPOA + the Bush era easily make that the funniest option of all possible rationalizations.

Based on you referring to Trump as “the moron in Chief” that seems doubtful, sounds like the ranting of a liberal

Flares are used as countermeasures, and certain planes, like El Al, Air Force One, etc., have systems that can "blind" IR missiles (essentially be shining a very "hot" light back at them. Why the F35 didn't see it coming is a mystery.

I don't see any proof that it actually went that far, and the X account is a war promoter.

Very timely event, at the peak low point of war support.

Dear lord. We gave Iran $400M in a settlement related to 1979. So a legal settlement that is an absolute drop in the bucket at the scale of nations and what we are spending daily now.

Then we negotiated a deal between them, Europe, China, Russia, and the U.K. where they had to ship out 95% of their uranium and enrichment was capped at 3%.

Then Netanyahu came and cried to Congress how much he didn’t like that.

Then we drop the deal, impose sanctions, shite escalates, we take out Soleimani, and Iran aggressively pursues a nuclear weapon.

Trump the diplomatic genius.

Did you prefer the path we were on with Iran in 2017 or the one we pivoted to in 2018 that landed us here?

Y’all are so in denial it’s comical.

I understand that prop planes are not near as fast or stealth, but do they put out the kind of heat signature that a jet would?

I would assume no.

I would also like to go back to operation hammer, or whatever it was called.

Did the 36 hour mission of the two bombers not produce any kind of heat signature, while I know that they do try to reduce the heat output from the back of that bomber?

Yet you would think that they flew 36 hours over Russian or Chinese radars or heat signature physics radars.

How did they circumvent all that over a 36 hour mission?
