re: Iran just proved its missiles can reach far beyond the Middle East. Trump was correct

Absolutely not. Not while literal terrorists were controlling the country and the missiles.
I suppose we will have to bomb every problematic regime with missiles & engage Iran every time they rebuild missiles.
Great and pragmatic plan. World police are so back.

Sure. And it would be naive to think that we will have accomplished any long term objectives in 4-6 weeks. And even more naive to think that this will in any conceivable way benefit the American people.

Show me where North Korea is a religious zealot based government with a stated intent to wipe Israel and the US off the face of the earth and we will start treating them like Iran instead.
Yeah, I guess one religious zealot based country that hates another religious zealot based country, along with the country that overthrew the legitimate government and installed a puppet in the first religious zealot based country, does deserve different treatment.
And you guys say it is everyone else who doesn't understand geopolitics.

Well that's ignorant. Are you saying we should do that or are you saying that's what I said?

He does have a point. The Iranian regime will remain in place and they will replenish their missile capabilities.
And we'd be stupid to think that they won't want some vengeance

They were compliant about the uranium they let us see
It was well known they had hidden sites and activity they refused the inspectors access to. This was one of many criticisms. That was on top of many times the delayed inspections even before we left the deal.
They also kept developing ICBMs which was not restricted by the deal but why the need for ICBMs if you have zero intent on building a nuclear bomb? That is one of the complaints Trump had about the deal in 2018 when we left.
LOL at you for trusting Iran on their word
Man, I have heard pretty much exactly the same thing before. When and where was that? It was sometime in the late 90's/early 2000's, I am sure of. I believe it was somewhere in the ME...maybe close to Iran.
Man, it escapes me.

So we should have done nothing about this imminent threat because they may become an imminent threat again at some point in the future??
Yeah we really fricked up by getting the regime who’s stated goal is to wipe us from the face of the earth mad at us.

They had to ship out almost all of their stockpile. They were capped at 3% enrichment. They were complying with terms. We had international buy-in from essentially everyone but Israel.
We pissed off everyone involved by going back on our own deal, undermined our diplomatic integrity (not just with Iran) & shite just escalated from there. You prefer 2026 US-Iran relations to 2017 US-Iran relations?
It’s not like we abandoned JCPOA for an improved version. We just straight dropped our first diplomacy with Iran in 35 years in favor of escalating.
And now here we are.
It’s impossible to defend.

No one has. It's just "trust me bro" nonsense.

No problem dropping something on Iranian bomb building whenever it needs it. The hyperbole of "I guess we'll just bomb everyone" like Iran isn't a special evil is normal PT board absurdity.
Did you just guarantee that the new leadership in Iran will be as dangerous as the dead Mullahs?

You don't know history
Iraq had uranium it was trying to enrich. That started in the 70s and 80s. They still had uranium during the Gulf War. What they didn't have was a weapons program by the time the Gulf War started. That was dismantled in the 90s
Iran has/had both. They were seeking enriched uranium and had ICBMs in development
Keep trying to compare the two without being educated on the differences. It makes you sound really smart.
