I paid the godamn thing and now the state of Georgia sent me another ticket...a "super speeder" fine for another $200 because I was going 87 in an 75.
I live in Baton Rouge...should I pay it?
and this makes me hate the falcons even more that I already do

NEVER pay the ticket without calling their clerk and asking to get it reduced, new here?

That is why the JP sheriff’s lie and say you were 15 over.

The super speeder is for anything 85 and over. Cruise control on 84 is the way to travel on interstates here. Kirby Smart needs to teach our players this.
I recommend you pay it.

Could the super speeder ticket sent to you because you are out of state?
Years ago I got clocked doing 85 in a 55 on I65 in Tennessee right before the Kentucky state line. County deputy took my license and writes out the ticket. I ask him if I could just pay it. He says yeah, but the county courthouse is closed for the day. He says you could go to the courthouse in the morning and pay it or show up in two weeks if you want to contest it. I asked how much the ticket was and he $100 (don’t remember the exact amount). He told him I wouldn’t be around in the morning or in two weeks. He pulls a piece of paper out of his ticket book and hands it to me. On it are printed a name with a PO Box address. He told me to mail a money order for $50 to the name and address, enclosing the ticket number with the money order and after the money order is received, they would mail me my license.
I did that and a few weeks later received my license in the mail. I guess Those county deputies were pulling this on all the out of state speeders.

had a Krotz Springs cop stop me one morning, after a champagne breakfast at the frat house at LSU, gave me a ticket and offered to let me pay him on the spot

If you dont pay it, Georgia will suspend your privilege to drive on their roads. Georgia and Louisiana both participate in an interstate drivers license compact. So when GA suspends you, LA will suspend your LA license too.
Cheaper to pay the ransom.

You can ignore some of the local fines and camera stuff but if you ignore a state of Georgia ticket they can issue a warrant depending on the violation.

$490 for 87 in a 75 seems pretty steep.
And I didn’t know there were 75 mile zones in Georgia.

OK, I'll be the one to call BS as Georgia doesn't have any official speed limits above 70.

Does Georgia not allow defensive driving course to get rid of one ticket?

I got a ticket one time in Lake Village on my way home from Arkansas. I called and told them I didn’t have a problem paying the ticket but is there anything I could do to keep it off of my driving record. She told me they could make the ticket a non moving violation. She told me to make the check out to the Judge.
