I would definitely sell!!

My Zion rookie cards are only worth 35 dollars. I paid three hundred dollars apiece for them

So how does this work?

The guy/store he bought it from didn’t go through the box and find it himself. Are they not allowed to do that.

Seems weird someone would just be able to buy a box that no one has any idea there is that valuable of a card sitting in without it being stolen out of.

I also, have no idea how this racket works, so SIA for my ignorance.

That is astonishing.

A buddy of mine with a bit of a gambling habit has been talking about his new hobby of hitting up the Target and buying a bunch of baseball cards.

He kept saying buying baseball cards is less detrimental to his finances than going to the casino and that doing so was essentially a substitute for gambling at the casino.

I didn't fully comprehend what he meant until I opened this thread.

That is just astounding...I might go buy a pack of baseball cards today just for shiggles and maybe a scratch-off as well.

not that it matters but I wonder what the tax implications are for something like this.

What astounds me more is people willing to pay $2 million for a baseball card. Talk about having money to waste.

DO NOT SELL!!

I won a signed Blake Bortels football at a charity auction and was offered $1000 for it the next day. Of course I turned it down.

It might have dropped some in value but I am playing the LONG game and feel like it is just a matter of time before this thing goes 10x!!

At least with buying packs of sports cards you are always coming away with something, were with the casino you are probably walking out empty handed

I’d also like to know this. You prob have to wire the money or use a third party auction site

Insane valuation! The patch intact on a game worn autographed jersey would be less valuable. Crazy some collectors covet these considering the value add is a piece of Topps branded cardboard and grading. Sell Sell Sell!

Do the boxes at Target actually have the types if cards a collector wants? I didn't think so. Card shops were where those were sold.
