Joe Dumars knows what he's doing?

He decided not to trade anyone at the deadline and claimed that we had a "Playoff Roster". He was mocked by everyone for that stance. Well, this team looks different, is versatile, and more than competitive when healthy.
Are they a championship team? NO. But, damnit, they are fun to watch right now regardless of your opinion of Joe and the team

They are finally putting it together. DJ has been so much better than I could have imagined. Athletically I see no drop off which is incredible. His fire is so important. He is on guys arse when they blow an assignment.
The bigs are playing better. Karlo snd Yves have really grown. The rookies are improving and look confident. Fears makes 2-3 jaw dropping plays a game. Queen is figuring it out. Tonight was his best game in a while.

I think the most surprising thing to me is that they've found their defense. Didn't think it would happen under Borrego but I'm glad they did.

He is. But we basically traded Jose’s minutes for Dejounte and Fears minutes. We did right by Jose at the same time.

I think Dumars’ worst decision was letting Willie Green start the season as head coach. I don’t know if we’d be in playoff contention right now or not, but I could pretty much guarantee at least 5 or so more wins if JB started the year as HC.

he had no options. This is ignorant. He tried to trade but had nothing to trade. The trades he made in the offseason were asinine and put him in a situation where he had nothing left to trade. It’s fools gold. Run it back next year for the same old shite. We’ve seen this nonsense for a decade now.

Dumars is a fricking idiot. He has no idea how to trade, he kept a coach that held the franchise back and did so once again this season and has the Pelicans in the same place they wee last season with a possible new coach. Which he should have zero input on

They did not need to make all those trades to give up what could have been 2 of the top 6 picks in a loaded draft.
Poole trade was stupid
Queen trade was beyond dumb
Trading the Pacers back their pick was idiotic
Fears pick was solid
Bey signing was awesome
But overall he gets a D+
Team is going to finish in the lottery without their pick.
The roster is good.

Well run it back just to be a play in team at best again. We’ll wait until the players with good trade value lose their value and get pennies for them.
