If Bucktown isn't too far away, R&O's followed by a drive along the lakeshore to UNO.

A short drive from LSUNO are Velvet Cactus and R&Os.

Since people are throwing out bucktown places, Station 6.

If you want something casual, as in pick up and takeaway, Zimmer’s seafood is really good. There is also the Bird’s Nest in the Bird streets

Cochon King BBQ is some of the best BBQ in the city right now.
West End isn't that far with an easy drive on the Lakefront. Russell's, Felix's, Blue Crab are all serviceable options.

This is very much a stretch but its fine.
Zimmer's for boiled/poboys
But that is really it, its a dead area
Just drive to the Lakefront/Westend/Harrison Ave/Bucktown
Safta's Table just opened up in West End and you can get some of Alon Shaya's food in a relaxed environment.
You might be looking for something more New Orleansy so you can go to Blue Crab, R&Os, Station 6 etc

you can get from UNO to west end or lakeview or bucktown or mid city in less time than it will take you to park once you get there. There’s nothing around UNO worth wasting a meal on

Nowhere in New Orleans is Franklin or anything but those are good places by New Orleans standards.

As kaare Johnson would say
“Gentilly; home of no. good. restaurants.”

Safta's Table is really excellent. Went there last week and had lamb hummus and chicken schnitzel. If you are dead set to stay by UNO, Yummy Pho and Fried Chicken near the Rouses is a silly name but decent Vietnamese food.
