Seriously, what has Will ever won of significance? Here are his postseason results by year as a head coach.

2014…..Chattanooga…..CIT/Lost Rnd1
2015…..Chattanooga…..Did Not Qualify
2016…..VCU…..Rnd of 32
2017…..VCU…..Rnd of 64
2018…..LSU…..NIT/ Lost 2nd Rnd
2019….,LSU…..Suspended*
2020…..LSU…..No postseason/COVID
2021…..LSU…..Rnd of 32
2022…..LSU…..Fired**
2024…..McNeese…..Rnd of 64
2025…..McNeese…..Rnd of 32
2026…..NC St…..Lost Play in game

* LSU went to Sweet 16, coached by Tony Benford

** LSU lost in Rnd of 64, coached by Kevin Nickleberry.

In the NCAA tournament, Wade was 3-6. I don’t get the obsession. So the goal for LSU is just to hire someone that is better than McMahon? Loser mentality.

Are you expecting LSU basketball to invest in a HC that would get interest from Blue Bloods?

He’s never lost in the NCAA Tournament at LSU.

Of course, that loser has never come close to making the tournament….

Find me another realistically obtainable head basketball coach that has put together 7 straight NCAA tournament teams

The SEC in year 2, 2 years removed from one of the worst seasons in school history?

Never had a losing season. Routinely in the ncaa tournament.

Oh no, he’s never won a national championship. Brother 7 (SEVEN) out of the 300-something coaches have won national championships.

Yes it would be nice to at least get to the sweet 16 again. But he sure gives you the opportunity to do so vs an unknown commodity and certainly vs McMahon.

The Wade haters are every bit as nutty as the sycophants

Wade brought energy and excitement to our program. I’d take his tournament record every day over your beloved McMahon. Im sure you’re trolling but I can’t tell with you. I remember your insane takes from last year. If you’re serious you’re just delusional.

Dear Lord the stupidity

We have 2 options. Stay the course and NEVER make the tourney, or invest in a coach that gets us further up the ladder than MMc ever will

Translate to football. Do we just stick with Dinardo, or invest in a Mich St coach there never won anything, but was a step in the right direction

My observation: Keep Steppin'

You may go now

So he doesn’t get credit for the Sweet 16 because Tony Benford is the same level coach and Alleva panicked when he read a Pat Forde article? That’s disingenuous at best.

Also, you have to consider his age, do coaches not improve? How old was Skip his first NC? Saban? Coach Jay?

I’m not saying Wade ever wins a NC, but holy shite the standard he gets scrutinized by has never been held to another coach. Just like the lack of accountability CoachMc receives is unprecedented.

It seems you don't live in Louisiana based on your post. It's surprising how so many people are eager to bring Wade back, yet if you ask them for a logical reason why, they can't provide one. It appears that independent thinking is not a strong suit among many of our fellow fans. Cheers to the downvotes.

Ole Miss made the CFP semifinal because they were coached by Pete Golding! Dumb argument.

The hearts and minds of some LSU basketball fans. And all it took was a costume and some free chicken fingers.

That’s flat out dishonest.

- Highest win % in LSU history
- Second best 5 year stretch in LSU history
- SEC championship
- 4 NCAA tourneys in 5 years (highest % in LSU history)
- top 10 offenses
- top 10 defenses
- 7 straight tourney appearances (currently 5th longest nationally)
- top 10 nationally in win % for current coaches with over 5 years experience
- taken 4 different teams to the NCAA tourney (only 11 coaches alltime have done this)
- never had a losing season
- took Mcneese to 2 NCAA tourneys (they previously had 2 appearances in their history)

- all this at age 44

Thats why
