En fuego…
US #PPI came in hotter than expected.
• MoM: +0.7% (est +0.3%)
• YoY: +3.4% (est. +2.9%)
• Core YoY: +3.9% (est. +3.7%)
Inflation pressure isn’t cooling as fast as expected.

Imagine trying to use this as a rationalization.

Just wait till CPI comes out next month
This month it was "ok" looking overall because gas was so far down while everything else was up for the most part.
Gas isnt going to be helping this month

What's it like being this eaten up by politics?

Don't feel like getting up at the moment, but if I did, I would see a man who isn't in the least fricking bit eaten up by politics

I didn't know you were blind or unaware of your posts.

You seem to have some vast knowledge of my posting history that I lack. Would you mind citing to any specific posts of mine you believe would indicate that I'm eaten up by politics?

How about the one in this thread. You turned a fact into a political jab.

One of the worst things in the modern world of discussing business and economics is invariably someone is going to make it political. It’s really hard to have an objective discussion these days.

Interesting perspective. Out of curiosity, what would interpret to be the purpose of TheBoo’s post? Please don’t reply “to state a fact”.

Yet again, PPI is coming in hot due to *service* inflation, rather than good inflation
Why is service inflation rising?
Why is service inflation rising?

It was indeed a fact.
That’s not what I asked. What do you believe his purpose was in stating said “fact”? He’s presumably not a chat bot that spits out random information. So why did he post it? What was he trying to convey?

I'm not a mind reader. Are you suggesting that politics and money are not related?

Get used to it with birth rates in decline and border crossing fatigue

Copout.

I'm suggesting that, in the context of the Money Talk board, if someone brings up rising inflation, retorting simply that it used to be worse is either useless prattle or political deflection.
But you're not a mind reader, so I won't ask you which you think it was in this case
