What was the most memorable concert you’ve ever been to?

For me it’s when I saw Jane’s addiction open for Love and Rockets at Tipitina’s sometime in the late 80’s. This was right before Jane’s Addiction hit it big time. What is y’all’s?

That same exact one. It was the night before Thanksgiving 1987.

Woodstock. It's technically not a concert but a 3 day music festival.

Any State Palace shows in the early 90's, saw Tool, Pantera, and STP in a years time. Awesome seeing them in a relatively smaller venue.
Or Chili Peppers in Mile High in '22 in the pooring rain.

The Dick Nixons opening for Mojo Nixon, BR 1988

Probably the first time I saw Van Halen which was in 1981 I believe. They were at the top of their game for sure.

This was unbelievable! There was also a show in the early 90s that they opened up for Dash around Halloween that was out of this world. Scary Bill Davis clown costume, huge oddly carved pumpkin, Harley’s on stage during Born to Be Wild cover, previously mentioned pumpkin crashing into Kirk, the jerk’s head, pure mayhem!!!!
I wish I could go back in time and see both of these shows.

I was there as well but it's all kind of fuzzy.

Seeing Tool in New Orleans in February 2020.
I admittedly was never really a big Tool fan until they released their Fear Inoculum album at the end of 2019. A friend of mine convinced me to give it a listen. I did so maybe a couple months before the concert, then their other albums, on repeat and I was blown away. Me and that same friend ate a pot brownie right before and then went to the concert, and it was the best experience I've ever had at a concert. Truly was the most amazing time.
Also it obviously being right before Covid couldn't have been better timing.

John Prine in a bar at the foot of the Sunshine Bridge in Donaldsonville, LA. in 1977 or 1978. It was a small capacity place, but packed that evening with everyone totally engrossed with the performance and definitely in the same head space as John!
I attended 2 more John Prine concerts in larger venues over his career, but none matched the magical bliss experienced in that bar!

He was just getting started and beginning to gain popularity. There are many musical/singing artists who got their start in bars. Bruce Springsteen started at a small venue called The Stone Pony in New Jersey for example.

BS was based in that part of NJ for several years.
The specific reason I asked was that it would make far more sense to play BR, a few miles at most from one of the biggest colleges in the region.

It would make sense as you stated to have performed in B. R. I had recently gotten out of military service and wasn't very familiar with John Prine but for only a few years myself at that time.
I was able to see John 2 more times in later years in larger venues. Neither of those larger venues provided the overall fun we experienced in the bar at the base of the Sunshine Bridge.
