Obviously it's WAY too early to be talking seriously about 2027 draft and none of these mocks know anything really, but they're still entertaining. Good offseason fodder.

I googled "NFL mock drafts 2027" and just quickly skimmed the 1st rd of the the first couple dozen links, got a reminder about who the cfb bonifide stars are and saw a few LSU guys generating a little buzz. Here are the LSU names being mentioned as potential 1st rounders in the 2027 draft:

Jordan Seaton - OT (seems like best bet, his name came up a lot)
Treydez Green - TE (easily second most)
Sam Leavitt - QB
Dom McKinley - DT
Jordan Ross - Edge
Dashawn Spears - S

I'm not that surprised by any of them but Ross is interesting, I don't know much about him yet....

Jayce Brown
Whit Weeks
Ty Benefield
PJ Woodland

All could be included too

And Jordan Ross was in rotation with a lot of guys at Tennessee, but he showed a lot of flashes to get looks

If Weeks can stay healthy he's got a great shot at a 1st. Nobody talks much about Woodland, I also think that'll change.

Don't know much about Jayce or Ty, this is the most excited I've been about spring ball as I can remember.

If we end up with six first round draft picks, with

1 QB
1 OT
1 TE

and

2 DL
1 S

We are probably seriously in the hunt for a natty

Treydez Green

they must see him as a diamond in the rough, he sure seems like an unseachiever, and a bit over hyped

I don't think Weeks is a 1st rounder at all. He is nowhere near where Devin White was. He is a solid LB but he doesn't have the size and speed to be a 1st rounder.

I mean Devin White was consensus top 5 pick overall but fair, point taken, maybe I’m overly optimistic on Weeks.

I just don’t think it’s that crazy to see him have a similar projection to guys like Quay Walker, Patrick Queen, Isaiah Simmons, given how productive he is at this level. But we’ll see!

He ain’t on the same level athletically as those you listed

Weeks is probably a 3rd or 4th round type player.

You do realize that our offense absolutely sucked last year, right? I think we are going to see something special from TG this year now that we have adults building an offense.

not sure I'd put Kiffen in that group but anything's an improvement

lol what? He may break records under Lane at the TE position. He’s an absolute match up nightmare and is the most sure fire 1st rounder we have imo. He’s going to have a phenomenal season. He’s going to be what Arik Gilbert should’ve been.

You'll get down voted but you are right. Weeks is a 3rd rounder at best.

Weeks will need a great season to be picked on day 2. He needs to prove that he can be a consistent pass rusher because he isn’t going to cover anyone elite in space.

He could have a big season like Jacob Rodriguez from Texas tech. He’s considered a 2nd rounder

He ran a 4.57 40 and had a 38.5 vertical

Not sure Weeks is that athletic.

No doubt. That’s a pretty good comparison. I think it’s possible Weeks does have a great year. But with him coming off an injury plagued year and obvious questions about how he would test out in a combine setting, to predict him to be a first round draft pick is a little ridiculous in my opinion.
