Ukraine is a large part of why we can attack Iran

Trump isn't dumb and he knows this.

He's just doing the "act dumb to give red meat to the rabid portion of my base" schtick.

Who is being outmaneuvered? That's rich.

So glad we built a coalition (even if via back channels to retain an element of surprise) & prepared for branches/sequels (closing the Strait of Hormuz) prior to kicking off combat ops.

We should be shifting a proportion of sorties & missile strikes to Iranian critical capabilities that allow them to influence the strait.

add Israel to that list (outside of supplying munitions and ballistics)

This is a moronic take.

Russia decimated it's military and has very little it can devote to Iran.

Russia has been Iran's protector for decades. Attacking Iran previously would mean, at the least, proxy war with Russia and, at worst, nukes. Russia being occupied in Ukraine left Iran completely exposed.

Awesome! But, it’s not “thuh US” that’s “helping Ukraine”, it’s the US taxpayer being forced to give up money they earned so it can be sent to Ukraine and washed back to politicians and MIC companies in the US.

And you promised to end it on Day One.

We’re on Day 422.

I don't think Trump particularly likes Russia and a decimated Iran hurts them (and China).

This Iran war is a major embarrassment for Russia.

I have no doubt if the Ukraine situation hadn't fallen on the rabid partisan lines like it did Trump would be much more active in Ukraine, too. Trump has shown he's all about using our military when given the opportunity.

It's how many people don't understand how the Iran War benefits the USA.

The same arguments apply to Ukraine, too.

That's why this 180 from so many MAGA types has been incredible people watching..

I agree

I’m cautiously optimistic at this time. Very cautious, but optimistic.

If you're talking outcomes, I'm not

I'm just discussing strategies and justifications.

I would be very happy to be wrong about my assessment of our ability to "win" in Iran, just like I was with Iraq 20 years ago.

My God, you can't be this stupid! But, then I realize you set new levels for moronic observations daily.

I don’t equate the two at all.

What was the Iraq war about?

I’m thinking this one is going to set us up wonderfully if we can pull it off.
