I really though they’d hit much better.
Watching who Jay was signing last fall had all the markings of offense over defense.

Carraway got on this team because he caught fire in the regionals. Otherwise, he was average all around over the entirety of last season.
Jay got enamored with his regional play.

I’ve also noticed we seem to almost always let the leadoff guy get on base for our opponents
I don’t have any clue what the stat is for that, but it FEELS over 50%

It was one game against a pitcher without much it a scouting report against who was throwing 96. They hit well the previous day. Lets see how today goes

Yorke has been getting on base but he isn’t producing RBI’s. Yorke, Caraway, and your DH have to start producing or our offense is going to continue to struggle.

He also was second choice we went after ace reese from moo state but they ended up keeping or outbidding us for him.

They put the leadoff guy on 4 times last night. 2nd - 5th First batter in the 6th flied out to Stanny.
For the weekend, they put the lead guy on 8 times (4 each game), LSU put the lead guy on 7 times (4 in game 1, 3 in game 2)
