Oats is a prick… Cal washed and bizarre, won’t last long… Barnes has been consistently good at least… Vandy and Aggies’s trying to come on….
WW will have us back in the top four consistently like he did for four years straight. Look forward to renewing my season tickets I gave up two years ago. Geaux Tigers.

I'm fine with hiring Wade back, if possible.

What I cannot comprehend are the rumors that this has become a binary decision, i.e. we only move on from McMahon, if Wade is willing to come.

The rumors are there because it is known that money and people in high places want Wade. It only being Wade part seems to be because the money people won’t pay the buyouts if it’s not who they want in the position.

This is a failure of our leadership imo

The failure of our leadership was firing Wade in the first place. The new leadership is trying to rectify the situation and create excitement for the program. There are only a few coaching hires lthat could do that immediately and only one that is somewhat realistic.

You hire an up and coming mid major coach ticket sales won’t see a bump this year. You hire Wade immediately your new season ticket request list get a great jump.

And if Wade doesn’t come? Let the program sink further into the abyss? Then what?

I’ll believe it when I see it

LSU hoops is on the ocean floor right now. Earth’s topography won’t let it sink any lower. So yea if you can’t get a known quantity that would energize the program just let it sit and rot.

Schertz just signed a contract extension. Verge needs to have someone in mind. I'm just having a hard time believing Wade would leave NC State after one year to back to the school of his public humiliation.

That’s secondary though. Get us into the tourney every year, that’s the #1 goal. When you have a team that can win the conf win the conf.

That's because you (like most posters on the rant), can't see the forest because of the trees.

These decisions go way beyond the surface with VARIOUS factors under consideration.

I don't think Wade and his agent are stupid. I believe he'll be our coach next season.

Many of the self-proclaimed hoops experts on here said we should've hired Chris Beard. Wonder if they still want him.

Over McMahon? He’s had 1 losing season in 11 years, yea I’m sure they’d still take him.

Chris Beard would be a home run hire at LSU if he had the proper resources and support.

Based on his performance this year, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have that at Ole Miss. But even then, he's showing flashes with an upset or two throughout the season, in addition to this SEC tournament run where his team appeared to run out of gas.

He CERTAINLY did a better job this year than our EPIC LOSER would have.

You're missing the picture - at least according to the folks who write the checks - WW is worth all the buyouts, roster enhancements, facilities, etc. No one else likely to consider the job is, so they will run out McMahon's contract or at least structure a buyout that will be palatable.

The McMen are a funny bunch. He was a beast in the Ohio Valley Conference. The fact that he is barely hitting his weight in the SEC doesn't faze them in the least.

That's the spirit. Nothing beats being there in person when the team is rolling. The atmosphere during those tournament runs was incredible, and if WW is the guy to get the momentum back, the ticket office is going to be busy. Geaux Tigers.

To turn a basketball program around is the least difficult of all team sports- you can only have 5 players on the court at any time

This thread is stupid. There are definitely better options than wade.

You never had season tickets so...They would be foolish to just say its wade or nobody.

Bingo where has wade even said hed come back? What if he comes but the shitty seasons still continue? Acting like he's a sure fire fix and everything will be fi e if he comes is just dumb.

Give me your top 5 guys, who are all "definitely better" options that would be willing to leave their current position to come to LSU for the 2026 - 2027 BB season.

I'll hang up and listen.
