Iranian Insurrection/Resistance has the galaxies greatest air support system ever.

Really, the peoples resistance will have the ability to call up devastating air attacks where ever 3 or more IRGC/Basic soldiers are located with a gps. There is no reason to charge into a bunker filled with baddies, just get the US/Isreal targeting guys the coordinates and POW.
Hans Solo would have loved that level of support, the evil empire would be vanquished.
The IRGC will be dropping rifles faster than the French . I foresee a quick completion.

I hope they take this opportunity.

I have been thinking lately that we might see a small amount of troops on the ground to help the people when the time comes. It would help coordinate air strikes so we do not kill the people we want to take over. It would also give the people more confidence to come out and fight.
I have kind of been expecting to see ground troops because I have a feeling that we might want to use the so called “Discombobulator” like we did in Venezuela. Not much is known about it but it is suspected to be helicopter mounted. It would be an equalizer considering the people of Iran are not trained soldiers. We would probably need soldiers on the ground finding targets and directing in the helicopters well away from it at a safe distance.
I’m just guessing and speculating here but I can’t imagine the military not using this thing in Iran when the United States wants to see the people take back the country and it’s in the whole world’s interest for the people to win and change the regime.

Even Han solo had a blaster, something most of these people do not.

Give them Starlink antennas and small arms.

Does the resistance have guns?

Your major flaw is assuming there is a singular resistance and there won't be multiple groups vying for power to take over Iran who will ultimately fight with each other in this scenario. Then the US picks one to arm as our chosen group, who then become a symbol of American/Israeli oppression in Iran, causing all those competing groups to form terrorist cells. And then the conflict starts over.

I don't agree with much you say but this is spot on. This was always going to be the fly in the ointment with all of this.

They’re going to arm the youth, well by your I mean, say 18-29.ay lead I hope so, This is where the energy is in politics all over the world? Most of them wouldn’t have even been alive for 9/11 much less the revolution. They’re the ones who were out getting slaughtered.
Idk seems like the good pick to me, since a lot them did also ask us to do exactly what we are doing right now, even though idk if they really understood what all that would entail at the time of the ask,

This is the problem with treating Iran like Venezuela. Members of a death cult want to die.

Well said. Great Britain put these countries together to operate exactly that way. This allowed them to pit groups against each other and exert control through small applications of force to shift the balance to one group or another.
This is why, for the US and Israel to be successful, we must select a strongman, or a politburo of strong men, to control the factions.
Another thing to emphasize your point. Other countries will be meddling in favor of their favored group. Azerbaijan and Israel will be favoring the 25 million Azeris in Iran. The Kurdish autonomous region will support the Kurds. The oil states and America will probably be supporting a secular faction. It could be chaos.
BTW, Isn’t this yet another example of “Diversity is our strength”?
