Why hasn’t Matt McMahon been fired yet?

The saving the program from the edge of death might have been enough to not fire him after his second season. However that ship has long since sailed. He has 4 seasons and hasn’t made the tournament in any of them. He has to go or we should just do away with men’s basketball.

Cover for Wade. As long as there isn't an opening at LSU, Wade can deflect questions just like he did yesterday. As soon as NC State loses in the tournament, Wade doesn't have to do interviews for awhile. If we are going to make a move, I would expect it to come after NCST loses out next week.

That makes some sense but there are more coaches out there than just Will Wade. Do not get me wrong I want Wade back but it is not a Wade or McMahon situation for me. It is a Wade or anyone but McMahon situation for me.

Because LSU will not be on the hook for nearly $70 mil for firing 2 coaches in the same year. This is not hard to figure out.

Completely agree. Just like there were more coaches other than Kiffin during the football search. This administration showed the resolve to get a behind the scenes commitment and not waiver in the face of a media firestorm.
I'm hoping they are doing the same here and I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not. If they truly believe they have Wade locked up, you're not going to hear anything until after NCST's season and maybe not until April 1 (when Wade's buyout drops $2 MM).
I think the longer the silence, the better at this point.

Lunardi has NCST projected as a 10 seed.
They may win their 1st round game, but I don't see them beating a 2 seed or 1 seed if they end up a 9.
I'm giving them until Monday March 23rd, to make a move for this scenario before I throw in the towel on the Athletic department. And yes, the entire athletic department, because not making a move to fix your second biggest money maker is down right negligence
