Matt McMahon as the coach next year

Hell no. Anyone who even gives McMahon a dime in NIL is a fool as far as I’m concerned.

I can't believe it's even in question whether he's getting canned. At this time last year, if you told this board that he would go 3-15 in the SEC, 99% would say he's gone.

He would be gone at literally every other program. LSU’s athletic leadership is incompetent when it comes to men’s basketball. They couldn’t care less if the program goes by the wayside and they don’t value their own basketball fans in the slightest.

Wade maybe coming or not should have no bearing on McMahon’s status. Matt McMahon should never coach another game for LSU again. The sample size is plenty large enough to show he can’t get it done at this level. If he’s retained, could you imagine the level of apathy?

This “Wade of Bust” mentality is ridiculous. You put feelers out to Wade. If he’s not interested, then you move to other options. It is the athletic department’s job to help raise money. If the case can’t effectively be made to move on from a 23% SEC winning record, then we need new leadership.

Another year of this pitiful product is very insulting to the fans especially after the crap they pulled last year. It’s not shocking though because they do not care about men’s basketball and they care even less about the fanbase.

I would never miss a game, ever.

To think that a major athletic department "couldn't care less" about basketball is just ignorant. Verge is plenty smart enough to know that he needs to fix this. The new president saw how big of a deal basketball was at McNeese. They want to fix it. But the solution is not simple, and sometimes things take time. Where does the money come from? Who is interested in the job? Those are the main 2 things that need to be figured out.

Just like with Kiffin, a plan is probably in place. Just because the whole world doesn't know the plan doesn’t mean stuff isn't going on behind the scenes.

Be patient. Let it play out.
