According to cancer biologist David H. Nguyen, PhD, toxic chemicals in solar panels include cadmium telluride, copper indium selenide, cadmium gallium (di)selenide, copper indium gallium (di)selenide, hexafluoroethane, lead, and polyvinyl fluoride. Silicon tetrachloride, a byproduct of producing crystalline silicon, is also highly toxic. Solar on farmland has the potential to make farmland unusable.

It's one of the greatest fleeces we've ever seen in the history of human beings.

The weather issue has been part of the pushback against solar and wind farms in the Midwest and South for 20 years. There are large wind farms throughout Tornado Alley with no way to protect them or to quickly rebuild them if they are blown away by a tornados or severe thunderstorms.

But the lunatics on the left got to feel all so smug with their virtue signaling while lining their pockets with green energy trash.

Stretch of I-40 near me has wide open fields of solar panels just waiting for the next tornado or bad hail storm. These things will get thrown all over one of the busiest stretches of interstate crossing the Mississippi river.

Hope it took out wind mills too. Both are bad

This is kind of funny, but isn’t. While we do need to find an alternative to fossil fuels, we know, solar and wind are both unreliable and inadequate, which won’t change.

I’m not sure if nuclear is the right way to go to fix that in the long-term, but until fusion reactors become a reliable option or some other method of generating electricity on a large scale fossil fuels is what we have

Why not fossil fuels? They are plentiful and less expensive.

There have been thunder storms up north. 72 one day the next 32.

This is sad. Will they plant there now? Scary.

It is. But people think Chernobyl is going to happen every 5 seconds because they are stupid. Nuclear would fix any energy crisis and it honestly surprises me that countries like China don’t have them everywhere

This particular solar farm is about 10 miles south of me, south of the Kankakee River. The tornado also took some outbuildings on my SIL property as well.

Farmers were leasing out these fields left and right to solar companies, easy money they say. The last 3 or so years the communities have started fighting these things hard. Besides the physical environmental issues they can cause is the noise they generate. You can hear them buzzing from miles away and it is 24/7.

WIndmill farms are a bit further south and west.

Finite supply.

Won’t run out for a century, but they will run out. And we need petroleum products for more than fuel

Should have built the Obama Library in the middle of the Solar Farm.

My daughter has the attitude I have concerning this trash. Butler, Ga’I had her stop, we got out of the car and walked along the fence.”See this white sled? Few people know that solar power is produced in dc, not ac power. You need an inverter sled to pass through the distribution transformer before the power goes to an Intertie Substation. That substation and protection relay inside the doghouse, protects the utility from dirty power. You would not believe the number of trips I took to correct wind and solar mistakes that blew up transformers. Can’t wait until Idaho has the small nukes for prime time. Problem with wind and solar not being reliable? When the owners bail, hundreds of towers and farms are left in place to remind of the lie the public was told.

We really have to stop calling people smart because they are good test takers and follow instructions no questions asked.

Just a personal opinion.
