Racism Indoctrination

I am a professional that hosts a high school intern (senior) that volunteers to shadow and get experience. He is an Asian American student.
Today was not the first time he has been here, but twice today an instance of indoctrinated racism was revealed.
First, we spoke of his sister who got into a prestigious post-graduate program, but he said it wasn’t the best program because it was “white washed” and “nothing but rich white business men who ran the program”.
Secondly, I was mentioning a TexMex restaurant that has been in the area forever and he stated “I hated it, it was terrible” and I asked “why?” His response? “There was nothing but white people!” I pressed him further and he said “it was nothing but cookie cutter white family and… I don’t know, it just wasn’t for me”.
I was taken aback that he would speak to his mentor (a white guy with a family) like that. I asked him if I said the same exact thing but said “Indians” or “black people” I would denounced as a racist.
He of course didn’t have anything to say but did not seem to grasp the double standard stupidity he just spewed.
I think this comes from 1) family raising and 2) the public education system. They view whites as the enemy and a problem.

You’re overthinking this
And gaping soft. It’s no wonder he doesn’t respect you as a mentor

These are the kinds of people we’re expected to import as a country, without any second thought. People who despise the ethnic majority of the United States. It’s why a policy of completely open borders or lax immigration enforcement is absolute lunacy. Our country is in enough trouble without adding more to the mess.

A business that has been around for well over 30 years in a super competitive market just sucks? Got it

Maybe, but for others, its racism. I would lean in that direction in this case.

He should have complained about the food then…

He hated it, it just went over your head

Ok bud, it was bad food but he just reference the ethnicity of customers twice, even after asked for clarification.
I would have laughed if he said “it was Mexican food that only white folks would eat!”. That isn’t what he was saying, trust me, I was there.

He hated it because of white people; not because the food sucked.

FIrst off, I am White, and I have claimed that I walked in a mexican resturant and there was not a mexican in the place.. I knew the food would suck and it did...
But this line.
I have stated all along that the next civil war will be racial. And one day soon Democrats will throw White people into concertation camps. Some of them now are saying that aloud....

It took white people to take shitty bland "authentic Mexican" food and make delicious TexMex.

To be blunt, if you’ve been tasked/volunteered with mentoring him, you need to call him out on this bullshite as soon as it comes out of his mouth.
He needs to know it’s unacceptable, unprofessional, and [to actually use the word legitimately] offensive.
You’re not helping him by enabling this garbage.

Agreed. I did let him know that a legit criticism of a restaurant isn’t what ethnicity the customers are. I also pointed out the double standard if I stated “too many blacks” as a criticism of a restaurant it would seem ridiculous.

No that is an idea that he has been trained to believe. If it was anything else he would not have brought up “white people” when it comes to Mexican people.

No he is stating the obvious.

No you are are beyond soft. Soft is being someone that cannot comprehend something being abrasive. Being gaping ignorant is someone that cannot handle the truth or the obvious. You are in the 2nd category.
