Exactly. Missing those days is really starting to make me feel old for the first time in my life. I think about thos at least 2x a week lately

Well that was depressing...
They forgot the part about people pretending to be the opposite gender.
Thanks, Obama.

I don't need a bunch of fake AI kids to tell me about the "future" which is years behind me in lived experience. This is just nonsense nostalgia engagement farming and not very good at that.

Social media can be good. Unfortunately, ppl are fricking stupid and seem to look for the worst possible way to act on it.
Internet incredibly useful
Cell phones ; no more nasty pay phones.
Social media CAN be good. Great way to meet ppl with like interests.

The irony of an AI generated video longing for and sugarcoating the 90s is what hits.

Just wait until you are old enough to have people 20 years younger than you whining about the "good old days".

2000-2004 was perfect IMO. There was still no social media until sometime in 2004. The internet was still very fun without consuming our lives. You chatted with your friends on AIM, hung out more in person. Honestly, it was all pretty fun until the smartphone, which fricked everything up.

Social media and cell phones seem to have done more harm then good. As a gen X person if both went away i would not miss either.

Man we had no idea how good we had it in the 90s and up to 2001.

The irony, of course, being it was posted on TikTok with AI. Ugh. And here I am, watching it on my phone on a nice Sunday evening bitching about it to strangers.

In the future a bunch of baws gather around a little box and visit a place owned by a Chicken?

The 80's are my happy place. The 90's were okay, but a lot of the dumb shite we see today, like PC culture, blossomed in the 90's.
