Should we all overreact to the obliteration of Sacramento and crown us kings again this year? Should we continue to be terrified about how awful we were against similar competition these past few games? Or should we just shut the frick up and watch the games and react when it’s actually time to?

Ive always said this. But regardless of how well you do in the non conference, you are not really going to know shite until SEC play. The competition is just on another level. So be super happy or cry it doesnt matter.

Cautious optimism. The team has some confidence and they can build on that.

1) I haven't panicked all season.

2) I have full faith in CJJ and his coaching staff to get the most out of these kids.

3) How far this team ends up going is TBD, as is always the case in March.

4) As good as the hitting was tonight, the best development so far is that our weekend rotation starting pitching is looking incredible. That's what wins titles.

Hard to say, really. This is a weird schedule, in that we're stringing a lot of games together. 4 games in 4 days, or 5 in 6 days, etc.

We've lost the back end of those stretches a few times.
McNeese, midweek game.
Northeastern, a Monday after taking the Fri/Sat/Sunday games.
ULL, the following Wednesday- as I said, 5th game in 6 days. That's your 5th starter, vs whoever ULL threw against us at home.

That's not indicative of a real problem. Our weekend rotation looks good, which is what is important in SEC play. We need to get these other guys some innings for down the road, which is what we're doing. They don't become essential unless we're coming out of the loser's bracket in the postseason.

I like this statement best. It’s a long season. Enjoy the ride… you have best coach in college baseball. Shut the frick up.

Thank you. This is the attitude we should all have. The reactionary emotions of a handful of games in the early season should be kept in check. Let’s all wait to jump off the bridge or crown us champs until midway through conference play at least.

Personal opinion is this team is solid and Jay is upper top shelf among all baseball coaches. I think we go deep into the post. Right now I’m just happy it’s baseball season again.

My main takeaway is the games we lost were to “junk pitchers”…. That changed tonight. When this lineup is locked in… it’s deadly.

Sac St is a get right weekend before Conference. They were a 3-9 Team that does not hit or pitch well. Tigers did what they were supposed.

My only concern is Evans and it is a minor one. It has been the same story each game. He struggles once the lineup flips to the second time around. It is common I know for that to happen. I just don't think he is a starter. I think there 2 options. 1) Move him back to the Pen in the same role as last season or 2) Have somebody already warming in the Pen to start the 4th or 5th?

I was waiting for this breakout game. Maybe it will kick start this team. Trust Jay!

Or how about we simply watch the games and react appropriately to the game without acting like we just won or lost the final game of the CWS.

And it's OK to react to the game, just don't be a douche. Imagine how intimidating Alex box would be if everyone

Off. Just chill they will be fine. Jay talked about this team with very high confidence in the pre season. I trust the man’s evaluation and coaching ability to get the team firing all the way around.

It's the first week of March. Everyone needs to STFU.

Give us 3 weeks of Sec play. We will have a better idea then. Coach is trying to see what he has right now. Like every year.
