Someone trustworthy has to oversee the disbursement of arms to the local citizens to close the door on this.

If Iran is as motivated to reclaim their country as they claim, they need to get to work and fast.
Reza is complicating things IMO

You're praying for a long engagement just because your TDS is that much out-of-control.
Sad.

They said we have objectives and they will be met. Everyone in the media and online being a war expert is so tiring.
A regime change is just a buzz word. If we do military stuff then leave that's not the same thing as occupying a country for a long time.
Let's let this thing play out and judge the result. If we occupy I'll voice my displeasure. Right now we're in the middle of a campaign and are body bagging terrorists. I'm fine.
I'm not talking directly to you tEgg by the way. Just speaking generally.

Well it would certainly give Iranians the will power to protest if they are being protected with troops. Not saying I'm for it but to say it would do zero is pretty off base.

Yeah because I actually have principled beliefs outside of universally accepting everything my favorite politician says

its happening
The U.S. Army has abruptly canceled a major training exercise for the Headquarters Element of 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, fueling speculation within the Defense Department that soldiers specializing in ground combat and a range of other missions may be sent to the Middle East to join the war against Iran, sources tell the Washington Post.
The 82nd Airborne operates a Brigade Combat Team, consisting of several thousand soldiers, which alongside elements of the U.S. Air Force are kept on high alert allowing them to undertake an airborne deployment on 18 hours notice with no prior warning, for missions as varied as seizing airfields and other critical infrastructure to evacuations, known more commonly as the Immediate Response Force (IRF).

We've already got Delta there, as well as some SF guys and some contractors.
IMHO it would be a mistake to deploy the 82nd and/or a Ranger Regiment. I hope he doesn't do that unless he absolutely must, not even for AO security purposes.

so you're saying disclose.tv 'reporting that "NBC" says Trump may or may not have used the words "serious interest" at some point in the same 30 minute time period he used the words "Iran" might not be a reason for dinks like Clark and the OP to get breathless and clutch their pearls just yet.
