Blue Bayou Water Park will reopen in time for Memorial Day weekend this year.

The Baton Rouge park, which will be operating under new management, officially reopens on May 16. It will be open that weekend, but reopens for daily visitors on May 23.

The popular water park didn't open for summer 2025. Its sister attraction, Dixie Landin' Theme Park, was only open for about one week.

The new management company is Leisure, Sports and Recreation, based in Mandeville, which also owns and operates the Gulf Islands Waterpark in Gulfport, Mississippi.

I wonder if they have ever seen the type of clientele Blue Bayou has.

Yeah, unless they manage to change the park's clientele from Democrat to Republican, they aren't going to make it.

Aren't there several nicknames in existence for that place whose mentions will result in a ban?

They've actually increased the pay to $11-12 an hour.

I remember working there in the 90's and it was $3 an hour with an additional $1 per hour worked if you lasted until the end of the season.

They could get away with less than minimum wage by having it as a seasonal job.

There's only one word separating them, and you still didn't notice?

I'm not in the area, but in the past, has this place been frequented by people prone to disruptive behavior?
