To be clear, I’m going as a fan, not a player.

How much is parking, and how early should I get there? I’m coming from Metairie so I’m wondering if leaving home at 4 PM is good.

Free. Park either at walk ons, across the street from walk ons, or the parking lot across from the engineering college that borders Nicholson.

Traffic could get you given that it's 4 PM on a Friday, but you should be good. The walk from the car to the stadium is 10 minutes max.

Have you ever driven through Baton Rouge on a Friday afternoon? I would leave Metairie no later than 2:30 if you want to sniff first pitch.

I'd recommend a puke bag

Wear a uniform just incase. How good are you with a bat?

Probably just get off in Gonzales and take Nicholson all the way up. That’s what I do for football.

30 minutes arrival before 1st pitch is fine. Unless you have a kid that wants to watch warmups and get an autograph, or if you want to peruse the LSU HOF room and look at the history of LSU baseball.

Wear your glove in the stands. That and the uniform will get you noticed and pulled down into the dugout. You’ll be on the field in no time.

If you have any mobility impairment you can also park for free in the hayfield lots on the right just past the Box heading toward River Road. There are shuttle busses that pass regularly and pick up fans from these lots and drop off right in front of the grandstand. I have also seen where folks with a handicapped tag are allowed to pull into the hall of fame lot just past championship plaza.

Take time to spend a few minutes checking out the Hall of Fame underneath the grandstand on the third base side. Just across the hall from it is a sports shop that sells LSU gear and items that you wont find anywhere else but on campus.

The gates will open 90 minutes before first pitch so you should have plenty of time to check out the HOF assuming that you don't get caught up in traffic heading to the Box.

Eat before.... literally anywhere else..even if its McDs in the car. LSU concessions are historically bad

Other than that should be a low key game not a huge crowd. Hopefully the tigers can start pulling it together

Thanks for the advice! Didn’t know what to expect about concessions. Leaving home now.
