I'm going to say around 2011 or 2012 I stop writing checks and balancing my checkbook. I went fully digital and online banking. I even use digital debit and credit cards on my phone.

I still write checks and balance my checkbook. I could write a check to bottom out my account and leave $.01 in it and that check wouldn’t bounce.

I still take checks. Don't cost me as much a credit. I can deposit the check instantly and prices almost as fast as a credit card.
Money often clears that day. Only one time in last two years did a check bounce.

2004 ish. That’s when I got my first American Express card and the balance was due in full every month just like it is now… I learned to be a responsible spender early in life.

Does your housekeeper take Venmo? Ours is the only one we write a check to.

I still write a couple of checks per month on average. Mostly one-off expenditures thst will charge extra if using a credit card.

I write quite a few checks for business related thing, but as far as personal business goes, not much. With online banking I’ve quit balancing the checkbook because it pretty much does it for you online.

Never did it in my life. My mom handed me off to my wife, and my wife runs that show. She’s an accountant. For about ten years I didn’t even know the name of our bank.

I write 4 checks a year because the fricking garbage company still operates like it’s 25 years ago.

Never balanced a checkbook in my life. Still write checks every week to the church, pay my property taxes with a check because otherwise they charge a 3.5% fee, same for the dry cleaners

I do both and enjoy balancing the books. I like focusing my direction.
