Shouldn’t the coach be an upgrade over tPear?

Mcmen - “NC State is a blue blood program”
Also Mcmen- “Wade isn’t any good which is why he could only get a job at Mcneese”

I know someone sees this.

In theory, yes.
But WW steered the program into such a mess that LSU was lucky they could find anyone to take the “opportunity”.

I guess, but T-pear is still young for coaching ages and makes the tourney consistently, something Mcbooty could never do

Other schools caught up in that “mess” told the NCAA to frick off and kept their successful coaches

And there’s the difference in a nutshell.

I am far from a Wade apologist. He steered his career into a mess (and seems to have recovered) and it has nothing to do with what's going on currently.
There is no excuse to have a four year stretch like this, throw in the portal life line and this is the worst coaching job in any sport in LSU history. Orgeron couldve walked across the street in 2022 and done no worse.

tPear embodies LSU and juices up the fans, the arena was always packed when he was our coach and the players played their asses off for him
tPear is an American legend

It was such a mess we landed the 17th composite recruiting class the year after he left. You people are delusional.

How many times has a Wade coached team not made the tourney in his coaching career?

I think the conference winning percentage is actually worse than Hallman at this point. I recall seeing that on here recently.
I’ll admit that I would be stoked if Wade were back. However I’m at the point where I would take literally any other Div I coach over McMahon at this point. The program desperately needs a new voice.
I saw an interesting blurb on coaching hot seats today from a national writer. He said his sources seem to think McMahon gets another year (nauseating thought) but he had an interesting quote: “If I’m McMahon, I might see if I could get in front of it and see if there’s a mid major opportunity that I could cling on to.”
First time I’ve seen that sentiment floated. The national writer seemed like McMahon being gone could be a very real possibility. Fired, leaves for an another opportunity, resigns….I really don’t care. I just want these next three games to be his last at LSU. It’s beyond time.

In over his head no more so than McMahon. He had a much larger spotlight, and no portal to turn around a shite roster in an era of of very little parity. He was complete dogshit though no doubt.
