Correct. This game means nothing. We could lose 100-0 and strikeout every at bat, and it would do nothing for me.

I think it’s March 2 and we’ve been trying to hit HR for the last 4 games against shitty pitching.
I think we will not be a great defensive team this year, but will be serviceable in that department.
I think Cowan/Williams need to get their head out of their asses.
I think we have all the pieces on this team to win another title.
I can acknowledge that it’s been a rough week of baseball. It’s a long season and that’s going to happen.
Do I think this team has inherent “issues” that are actually going to prevent them from achieving their goals? No.
I think we will not be a great defensive team this year, but will be serviceable in that department.

It’s a nuanced question. My opinion is:
They are playing like a team with issues, but I do not believe them to be a team with inherent issues that will prevent them from reaching Omaha.

It happened last season when we got swept at Auburn and lost to UT.
We were also down 9-1 to North Dakota state after 2.5 innings last wear and came back to win 11-9. This team has the ability to put up 10 runs in 5 frames and hold NE scoreless the rest of the way.
