The Iranians Cannot Overthrow the Regime Without Weapons

I agree with the article’s central argument that the Iranian people are unlikely to overthrow the regime without access to weapons or meaningful external support, given the state’s monopoly on force and willingness to use it. History shows that unarmed protest movements struggle to defeat entrenched authoritarian systems backed by loyal security apparatuses. While the desire for freedom inside Iran is real and admirable, any serious discussion of regime change has to grapple with the hard reality of power, force, and the regime’s capacity for violent suppression.

Gee, I wonder where we can get some firearms and ammo.

I'm just a country boy trying to put gas in the truck and beans on the table, But I think the plan is.....
The regular Iranian army, is to melt in with the people and use their arms to help defeat the IRGC. In addition, the people and regular army are ratting out where IRGC is holding arms and ammunition for bombing. The bombing we're currently seeing, and will see is mop up of the bad guys. Destroying all Iran's war toys and IRGC.

And a pretty darn astute country boy at that. “Ratting out” is key as those unchallenged A-10s flying overhead will make mulch of any remaining resistance. At some point, a fair vote will be the answer. Who can or will deny that? Outside of our Dem Party muh Democracy Dem Party.

Whatever IRGC survive this destruction, the Iranian people need to go all Aldo Raine on dey arse.

The regime has already been overthrown, though.

No. We have created voids by killing meat suits. The regime still exists, but is waiting on who fills those voids of that regime.

I suspect different western intelligence agencies and Israeli intelligence are already there and setting things up.

Arming groups in the ME who are fighting our enemies in the ME at the time of the arms transfer has been a successful philosophy, I reckon.

Just FYI, there are people that can vote for a dem one year and a pub the next year, or never vote for a pub or a dem. They don't play the game of "I only have two choices".
Those people are called "folks with more than two brain cells".
Unfortunately, they are the VAST minority in this country.

There are only so many truly loyal folks even in the Kuds force and guard. If the semi-loyal folks see the tide changing they’re likely to melt away with their weapons. In the regular army the loyalists are even fewer.
