Our military has been absolutely elite in the last year. The US has capabilities that seem like science fiction and our special forces have been total bad asses.

Well Biden gutted a large portion of our armaments by giving them away or selling to Ukraine and lost billions more in the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle along with having a weak group of military leaders. This is night and day.

Old Desert Storm armaments weren't what was propelling our armed forces

It’s amazing what can be done when you let our military perform to their capabilities and don’t hold them back.

I think he’s a great figurehead but Dan Raizen Caine and some of those guys have been absolutely elite as far as strategy.

Big fan of Handsoke Pete. I’d give him 4.5/5 so far

I will be the first to admit I was skeptical of him, and I was a little annoyed we spent our political capital on pushing him through instead of Gaetz (knowing Bondi was the alternative, felt like DoD had more bench depth).

He has been great. The last 60 days has brought America's military might back to the forefront in a way we havent seen since we crushed the Germans and Japanese. Every tinpot dictator has to be shitting their pants at this point if Trump orders them to make a deal

Megyn Kelly reported that our military only has enough ammunition/armaments to last a few weeks of sustained war. That sounds like BS but we have given Ukraine a lot of aid.

Is that a legit concern?

I don't think we will need much more after today. We killed the leadership, took out their radar, destroyed their airforce, sank their Navy

After adding the reporter to a "secure" chat, he hasn't stopped accelerating yet...

We had 4 years of Biden and Europe promising the West was ramping up armaments

So it is a legit concern. Luckily, the shite we sent Ukraine (mostly artillery shells, ATACMS etc) is not the shite we are using in Iran. We are fine.

The unfortunate part is the ATACMS we sent Ukraine are not easily replaced, since their successor weapon got delayed (as what happens in defense contracts all the time), and would be crucial in island chain defense if China were to invade Taiwan.

Elbridge Colby wrote a good deal on this the past few years, he is currently our Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and was Rubio's go to guy for foreign policy when he was still in the Senate. I would highly suggest reading his book (the strategy of denial).

Colin Jost's Hegseth impression is probably the best thing on SNL these days. He just did it on the cold open of tonight's episode

I thought it was another cabinet member that added the reporter to the chat? Pete had nothing to do with it.

Rough start but damn solid since then.

The "department of woke" presentation was masterful.

Yes and she shouldn’t be reporting that publicly.
