Two packages set for delivery on Thursday. Get notification that they were delivered, but nothing. I look at the tracking, photo shows someone else’s door with my packages.

I immediately open a claim, respond to an automated questionnaire explaining the pic shows wrong house. 36 hours until I get an email saying my claim has been updated - click the link and claim has been closed because they determined the package was delivered correctly, but there’s also a link now to a GPS pin showing where the package was dropped off, my neighbors house two miles down the road. No way to dispute, says closed if you try to open a new claim, and that I should contact the seller.

I go there this morning and knock, lady immediately points towards her patio at the two unopened packages. She apologized for not bringing them to my house before then and I assured her that I was just happy to get my stuff cause FedEx didn’t care, not her fault.

TL;DR - Mistakes happen, I get it, but FedEx can eat a dick for putting forth zero effort whatsoever to fix what they themselves proved was their fault.

If I order something and see it’s shipped FedEx, I just assume I won’t get it. Just a pleasant surprise if you actually do

If you are able to see where it was delivered then why file a complaint? If I get someone else's package I get it to them ASAP because if it was the other way around I would want them to do the same, its kind of shitty for the lady to not at least take the time to get in touch with you.

She knew she had planned on stealing them.

I get that, but it happens. Of all the packages they deliver in a day, there will be times a package gets dropped off at the wrong place.

I have a new mattress being delivered by FedEx. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Delivery not attempted, moved to today between 10 and 2, basically. Two p.m. rolls around, delivery moved to by the close of business today. Still no package.

This happened to me with Amazon with furnace filters and some AC drain pan tablets. The delivery picture was clearly NOT mine (I have a Cincinnati Reds welcome mat....pretty hard to mistake that in a picture for starters) so I knew immediately the dropped it at a neighbor's, but I couldn't tell from the picture angle quite who's house on my street it was.

I filed the complaint, they offered immediately to simply resend the order the next day, and I said sure, that's fine. Next day, my replacement had arrived, as well as whoever my lucky neighbor was having brought the misship to my doorstep. I let the Amazon seller know, but they said just keep both. Can't complain.

Never had anyone's packages mistakenly dropped on my doorstep, but have had mail in my mailbox that was wrong. I stick it the right mailbox and move on, and feel like most people are honest enough to do likewise despite all the negativity we see online.

Had a package out for delivery - nothing that day
Then status changed to delivery attempted but was restricted - which is BS because everything was fine
Go to the physical location and apparently the package was on a truck in the warehouse but they couldn't get it or do anything until the truck was opened and everything was put on the delivery trucks

So then why the hell mark that it's out for delivery? Also I go there to the location where it physically located, but yet I can't get the package. Idiots.

She hadn’t touched them, I wouldn’t have blamed her if she chunked them in the trash, not her problem and I thanked her. The point is that FedEx knew exactly where they’d left the packages but didn’t lift a finger to resolve their frick up, just assumed the business who shipped or I would work out who would eat it between ourselves.

Don't waste your time with contacting FedEX. Instead, call the company that you purchased from. FedEx really doesn't care if you are pissed off, but you had better believe they have concerns if the company that used them to deliver their goods, is unhappy. Especially if you threaten a chargeback on your credit card.

I'm starting to see merchants offering, for an extra fee, "shipping protection". frick all that! Why am I paying more to insure something that you are sending me? That's on your end. That is your responsibility to get me the stuff that I paid you for!

Maybe they need to hire people that can read street signs and know what numbers are.

I used to think people were too hard on you here but I’ve learned over the years you’re an actual fricking moron. I had no way to know where the packages were delivered until I filed a complaint, just pics of a random door, and it’s not this lady’s responsibility to deliver my packages.

I ship and receive a lot with my small business. I avoid ever shipping with Fed Ex and also try to avoid buying supplies from any company using them.

They are so bad and it's mainly due to their policy of ripping off their delivery "subcontractors" to the point that they just get rid of packages like hot potatoes.

USPS and even UPS are immensely more reliable for me.

Jesus, man. That’s a fricking stupid stance, even for you. And that’s saying something.

Every time you try to out-stupid yourself, you somehow end up winning.

It is not like they are having you deliver. These are people that are paid to know how to read street signs and know wtf numbers mean.

They’re usually pretty timely but it would be cool if they could figure out exact locations. Had multiple christmas gifts delivered to neighbors.

Fedex drops my packages off in about a 1/4mile radius of my home. Guess they figure it's already come 500miles, 1/4mile is pretty damn close.
