Or should we be concerned?

There was no true struggle. We won the game. It’s baseball. It’s not always going to go your way for 27 outs. Absolutely nothing to be concerned about. We lost to Omaha last year and then smashed the real Omaha. Breathe buddy, it’s gonna be okay.

I watched the first six innings and we had a lot of hard hit balls for outs. I think it was just one of those hard luck games. The two runs for Dartmouth were both lead off walks. Evans has to get sharper there.

I know some people hate the term, “That’s Baseball”, but we hit 2 screamers into the right field corner that their right fielder ran a long way for and made highlight diving catches. Then later we hit a a ball not particularly hard right at the right fielder and he dropped it.

That’s Baseball

Dartmouth actually played excellent on defense. The outfield robbed LSU multiple runs in that game and there was other smoked balls that were fielded great. Pretty sure one of them was 105mph+ off the bat and they still fielded it easily. Could've easily been 10-2 if those balls hit gaps.

I will say our infield is scary right now on defense. Dar is a huge liability at 2nd while their 2nd baseman was fielding missiles. Pretty safe to say most right now the guys replacing our infielders last year are significantly worse on defense. Maybe their glove gets better but right now it's not good.

Kinda. They had two errors and also struggled on some basic plays.

Was funny that the outfield that kept robbing LSU runs on great plays missed an easy one from Milam.

No reason to be concerned. I think we are solidly #2 behind UCLA at this point with our best ball ahead of us.

What exactly is it that you get out of making yourself look dumb on a message board purposely?

This team is going to take time to come together which is absolutely the worst recipe for our chicken little side of the fanbase.
We did not get a dominate pitcher from the portal this year because there were none that entered. In general the portal talent has fallen off a bit and I think fans still expect us to land a skenes/tommy white type every year when that may be unrealistic.
We have a lot of talent on the pitching staff and a lot of guys with high upside tools but maybe not elite across all areas.
Our pitching ALWAYS gets better by post season and Jay ALWAYS finds the arms needed to be successful by seasons end. He’ll go from throwing out the whole staff to just pitching guys who can dominate when it matters.

He will keep tinkering with our line up throughout the year to find the best combo of offense and defense. He played a Jacob berry type for most of the season to eventually bench him when it mattered most.

TLDR: Jay uses every opportunity with each pitch, inning, game, series, and even season to season to be succesful when it matters (post season). He’s currently using the season to get freshmen playing time for next year and tinkering around to find out who he can trust in post season. It’s all just one big season long practice for post season play. It’s best to just sit back and watch the man work.

Well you are easily one of the dumbest posters on here. And you aren't doing it on purpose. You are just a flat out complete and total moron.

My purpose in asking the OP, was to find out what he is getting out of making himself appear to be as dumb as you actually are. He makes an entire thread, says something stupid and then thinks he "got" somebody by doing it.

He can control his stupidity. You can't. Did I break that down enough to where you could understand?

The Dartmouth starting pitcher actually pitched well, had decent stuff and mixed it well, and made some very good pitches when he it mattered to get a few strikeouts. Some of our guys looked a bit anxious at the plate. As a couple posters have mentioned, two great catches in right field and one nice stop on a 100+ mph liner to second for a double play also robbed us of scoring chances in the first 5 innings.

Most college teams have some guys who can play some, if not dudes on the way to MLB, and tend to up their game to the max when they have the opportunity to compete with multi-national champion LSU at Alex Box. It inspires their best. We've seen it in regionals here in the past, remember Arky Little Rock and Stoney Brook?

Dickinson played an exceptional 2nd base last year.
I didn’t figure we would replace his defense this year.
