Got a 23’ bay boat with 3-12v LA batteries for my I pilot. Switching these batteries to lithium for just my trolling motor has been on my mind. Anyone done that recently, if so. What brand are you using?
I would like to keep my starting/house battery LA and just switch over the trolling to Lithium. TIA

Switched 4/1/25 to a LiTime and could not be happier. It’s not a premium battery but still has a five year warranty and blue tooth (wish I was smart enough to figure this out). Feels like my terrova pulls harder and I know it pulls longer. Will never go back to lead batteries for TM.

I did the same, 36V Li Time with BT. Although not much use on it yet. It came with the new charger.
Still have cranking and house lead acid on their own charger.

What AH battery did you get, 50 or 105?

Also just switched from 3 27 group LA to 3-31 group Li Time/BT. Will be trying out for first time this Sunday

My group 27 Lead acids were 53 lbs apiece. The group 31 Li Times come in at 25 lbs apiece. 84 lb difference out of the back of the BassCat.
Might finally see 80/81mph now, Good Lord willing. ;)

You might have to add some back. My P2 now runs better with either full gas or livewells. I do not mess with it though, as I can't run this damn thing WOT anyway. But, when I have tried, it was easier on me with a heavy butt.

Mine is 24v and I used these, 100AH and in a smaller frame really freed up some room.

Power Queen Mini Battery

You have a heavy butt so don’t blame the light weight batteries.
60ah is what I installed, I can go 2.3 days a n a charge, don’t do it.

LINK

Have had this for a year. Works fine so far. Comes with charger and has Bluetooth to check charge %.

Cheaper than replacing 3 lead acids.

I replaced all of the batteries with LiTime as well and they have been rock solid.

$496/60ah/36v
Have to remember that when Li dies it’s over. I have spot locked for 5-6 hours in current and had plenty of juice with a 60ah.

Lithium batteries vary widely as far as pricing. Also may need to get a new battery charger (onboard or portable). I have Ionic but would be fine with a power queen, litime, etc… Theyve all shown to be stable and dependable.

I also have my system split with an acid crank battery and lithium trolling motor batteries

I run 2 of the 80ah Power house lithium in parallel in my boat and love them.

I charge them with a power pole charge onboard. I never even think about battery power any more

Good move

I purchased a single 36v 50ah Power Queen on Amazon. Thinking I should have gotten the 100ah battery. But will try this one for now.
