LSU should go all in on Baseball

LSU baseball became elite. Was the first sports program to become a national blue blood. And you have a two time national championship head coach making comments that LSU is not all in on baseball support.
What’s it to say? Another school does not come and offer J Johnson as much money as he wants for players facilities and salary for coaches
Mosconas point on AFR was really good

I also believe we should go all in on baseball. College baseball viewership is only going to increase and become more mainstream over the next 10-15 years, with NIL drawing more elite talent to college.
Staking your claim as the face of the sport for the next 100 years starts now

I don’t see anything in that interview where Jay says LSU isn’t all in

“It’s a really hard topic,” Johnson told Tiger Rag in an extensive interview recently. “What I’m going to say is, school’s are going to decide what sports they want to excel in.”
Asked if they have already been doing that, Johnson laughed and said, “Tough question. But all I’m going to say is schools are going to have to decide what sports they want to be really good in. And there are some schools that are all in on baseball. And we need to be one of those schools. We’re not there yet.”

So you think they're going to fire O'Connor after 10 games to bring in Jay?

It must be exhausting to be a whore to sponsors constantly. Kudos to Matt, I guess.

No.. where did you get that from?
Mississippi State is but at every sport historically except baseball
They are spending their money on baseball. Look at the field look at their roster.

No one. Which is why going more “all in” would just create greater expense with minimal corresponding returns because LSU is ALREADY the market leader in the sport. You can’t get any better than best in the nation.
The marketplace for baseball isn’t nearly as competitive as it is for football. So that means the amount of market participants who would be willing to pay more than what LSU is paying is very small.

Sounds like he has one foot out the door. Cant blame him tbh.
