“We had information that these individuals were going to the parade route to possibly get in a fight with other individuals,” said NOPD Captain Ryan Lubrano.
That information led officers to a house in the 2200 block of Philip Street in Central City. Just two hours before parades were set to roll, police say those people met up and started loading guns from the house into a car. That’s when officers, who were doing surveillance, moved in.
...
Police detained six people. They say they had ten guns, four of which were rifles, the other six were handguns. Police also found a conversion device, which turns a gun into a fully automatic weapon. Drugs were also found, including about five pounds of marijuana and 174 prescription opioid pills. All paraphernalia was seized, along with $3,025.00 in cash.
Kirkpatrick said whatever bad acts the group planned never happened, thanks to work by the NOPD that went on around the carnival clock.

$3,025 in cash. Really successful drug dealers.

And they’re probably all back on the streets.

Central City tells you all you need to know about the suspects.

These young lads were just looking forward to going out to the parade route to watch Proteus. Such a shame their plans were ruined.

They should auction off the weed if the cops didn’t steal it and sell it already.

with all of this you would think they would spend a good 20-30 years in prison.

Dre and Quantavious were among those detained.

And Jason Williams will plead them to misdemeanors and ask them to write a kind letter apologizing to their ops.
