Today, we officially launch NIL-SA, St. Augustine High School’s Name, Image, & Likeness education and empowerment program. Our scholar-athletes will graduate not only college-ready, but business-ready. This is the future of high school athletics.

NIL-SA is built first and foremost as an educational initiative; equipping students with financial literacy, brand management skills, contract awareness, and ethical decision-making tools. We are committed to ensuring that opportunity is matched with knowledge, preparation, and long-term success beyond the field of play.

If you are interested in serving as a mentor, partner, or resource for our student-athletes, please reach out to us at nil-sa@purpleknights.com.

Here’s a screenshot of you saying you can’t post images that I posted from my phone in about 5 seconds.

BBcode which is the formatting tags like [ img] [/ img] (without the spaces) are widely used across millions of message boards.
This one actually gives you a button, because this place is filled with boomers. They have made it as simple and idiot proof as possible. The other sites must think we are idiots they even had to do this.

I don’t think it’s going to get kids deals who wouldn’t be getting them otherwise… think how we want schools to have courses on financial literacy and whatnot

They just want NIL and St. Aug in the same sentence so people see us talking about stuff like that, but every big time high school probably does or will do the same mentoring

Having juniors in high school flexing money that they make more than their teachers will create quite a fun and conducive learning environment in the classrooms

Yeah, this is going to be a nightmare with that kind of quick money and wealth/power disparity among students and staff.

Doesn't really matter if the concern is a high school kid turning into a dick because he has money.

People just don’t like college athletes (present or future) being paid big money because it hurts their enjoyment of the sport and they’re bitter about it. No one bitches about the plethora of wealthy teenagers and young adults in the entertainment industry who have made millions for decades. No one watched Home Alone and said, “Macaulay Culkin better be ready to pay taxes on all that money.”

the high school kids in that cohort didn’t have to go to normal high schools to be able to earn that money though

But I’m sure St. Aug would rather NOT have kids who were able to earn like that

Maybe not, but I've always thought, there's a bunch of assholes taking advantage of that ignorant kid.....which is exactly the point.

Kids making more than pros is moronic on every level
