At what point do artists start telling the HOF they don't want their image tarnished by inclusion?

For what? One song (In the Air Tonight) off a mediocre album? The rest of his solo work is shite, and he is already in with Genesis.

Absolutely hideous.
Once you notice she has no neck, you can't unsee it.

It's completely fair to have an opinion, but Phil Collins is well recognized for his solo work and as a drummer:

Phil Collins launched an immensely successful solo career in 1981 alongside his role in Genesis, becoming one of the world's best-selling artists with over 150 million records sold.

inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and recognized as a Drummer Hall of Fame member.

I didn't realize Phil Collins isn't already in the Hall.

I swear some of you people are retarded. Phil has seven #1 hits on Billboard, 27 songs that charted, and 14 top tens. The man absolutely ruled the '80s airwaves.

Then why not call it the Billboard HOF. Those hits were terrible. And he is already in for Genesis and as a drummer.

Just because you don't like Phil Collins doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be in the RRHoF. I, like millions of other people, happen to enjoy his music.

What in living hell has Pink done to get into the RR Hall? It was always a joke of an org. but it is getting pathetic. Here is who I would pick from this batch:

Phil Collins
Billy Idol
Iron Maiden
New Edition
Oasis
Sade
Luther Vandross

Wake me when they correct the injustice of not having Jethro Tull in.

Are there any bands over the years, who've had a couple hits that people feel should be in the hall?
