Jay has said on multiple occasions since last year that he knew he had a championship-caliber team by the way they responded after the loss to Omaha last February.

He seems to think these games matter, and they do. Especially midweek losses, sometimes in small but significant ways

the fact that we had enough arms to just keep going to different guys after the previous guy walked a batter and eventually land on someone thats on , shows what we have depth wise.

the fact that we battled back and got it to a one run game shows we have some grit and we have a lineup that can score runs even when they're off .

I didn’t want to be the one to correct that but yea, he said it last year either after their first loss or before the season. CJJ mentioned it on Mikd Up a while back. It’s a simple concept really, what do you have when shxt hits the fan? That’s what wins titles.
