How many of you play a 7 wood? I'm thinking about picking one up, or at least going to demo one and see if I like it. I really struggle to hit my 5 iron consistently, so I'm thinking I may be able to put a 7 wood in my bag to have something for that 170-180 range. As it is now, I have a gap from my 6 iron to my 4H because I just can't hit the 5 iron.

7 wood is the bomb. Try a 9 wood too. I have a 7w and love it. Carries 235/240. And flies like a wedge. Lands soft. Peak height on mine will get way up there.

Go give it a shot. I have a qi35. Standard stock stiff shaft that TM has.

7 wood is awesome flies super high and lands soft. Won’t replace your 5 iron though, it replaced my 3 hybrid. Try a 9 wood to replace a 5 iron

7 wood is easily the best club in my bag.

I’ve got a 7 wood.

I like it.

I’ve got a 6 hybrid that I hit 170-180 and a 5 hybrid that I hit 185-195. I struggled early on with those irons and this has worked out for me.

Your mileage may vary, but it replaced mine.

205ish carry with a real soft landing that can hold a green.

Careful divulging numbers. The longer you hit it, the more downvotes you get around here. Apparently being a long hitter is impossible!

I mean geesh. Totally agree. Hahaha. Gotta love TD. Anyways. 7w is a great club.

Replaces my 5i with a 7w. Best decision I ever made.

I use mine to replace a 4 iron. I still hit my 5 iron pretty good, 4 iron, not so much. It is my 200-yard club. I've tried hybrids and I don't like the look of them at address; they have a shape that for some reason I don't like. The fairway woods look good, and I have more confidence in them but that's just a me thing.

just got one, love it. It is longer than my 5 iron though. It is my 205 club and my 5 iron is 185. fills the gap between 3 wood and 5 iron. stops on a dime. great for par 5's and long par 3's

Use on practically every hole. Also use to tee off on most par 3’s.

I have no doubt I'd like a 7 wood, but I can't replace my 3H, it's probably my most versatile club in my bag. The only club I can consistently work left/right and right/left. Can hit it 250 or choke down to 225. And more importantly, it can punch the ball out of the woods like no other

I mean to be fair someone like Scottie or Fleetwood that carry 7w. They’re typically carrying theirs in that 240ish range. And your average joe with 7 wood is probably only seeing 180-195ish in carry. I use mine for that 220 carry number because my 5H carries like 200-205.

But I’ve been a 7w fan for a couple years now and have seen what that club is capable of. Hell with wind at my back and perfectly nutted 7w off the tee has netted me 260+ yards which is why I’m so confident in its use of the driver isn’t cooperating that day

I replaced my 3i with a 7W. Perfect 250 club and gives me a little better gapping between 4i and 3W.

To replace a 5i you might consider a 9W..

Where do you put the ball in your stance? Are you hitting down or up on your swing? Thanks
