Just imagine if he would have bypassed the draft and came to LSU...it would have been insane

He was closer than most people realize. Truly came down to the last day with the decision.

But he made the right choice.

Him and Skenes together, is an awesome young core to build around.

Would have been incredible, but it looks like he made the correct decision.

Good for him

That one was pretty obvious he was never making it to college, but would have been absolutely hilarious to have him at LSU for 3 years

Imagine trying to figure out an OF with Chris Stanfield, Derek Curiel, Jake Brown, Josh Pearson and Konnor Griffin

I mean obviously Griffin is starting, but who do you leave on the bench last year (and this year for everyone but Josh Pearson)

I guess Stanfield/Pearson, but Stanfield led the damn team in SEC batting average last year

Griffin probably plays SS and Milam stays at 2nd.

If I'm Paul Skenes, I'm demanding that this dude is on the opening day roster.

I would have liked to see Joey Gallo swing a metal bat for a few years.

Thats true, he's played quite a bit of SS in the minors

So who do you put on the bench last year between him, Milam and Dickinson then?

Maybe Milam plays 3B (or Dickinson)? Reaves/Braswell basically sit the pine in that instance.

In that hypothetical, Dickinson probably plays 3rd. But Milam would be a good option too. 6 one way, half a dozen the other.

I still think he should have come and made some money and still been #1 draft pick and still made a ton of money but also gain an additional 500K followers from LSU

You should think less then lol. This guy will get a pay day real soon. Coming to school doesn't apply to guys of his caliber. Odds are they make it to the bigs in 2 years and then gets a contract 2-3 years after that.

Everyone else not on that level though? School is the better option

Yes, the Yankees will definitely have a good young core with these guys some day.
